COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR EYES

Emma-jaNE with her MOther in her last few days of life Sept 2023

Well, this might sound a little odd to the people who have never experienced life around a hearing impaired person.  While in fact we all need are know how to..

Communicate with your eyes.

It’s easy and the fastest way to connect and figure out a stranger. No BULL.

To communicate with another is honestly done via the eyes and the more ‘light’ your body holds the harder it is to get people to look directly at you. Which makes a world of difference to me as I rely on visual or non-verbal communications to know how someone is feeling. It is an art of being an empath for sure.

Hence the crazy times when we were required to wear a mask to my dismay, I learnt that people made the conscious effort to search for my eyes and transmit a vibe depending on if I was complying to the ‘rules.’ Crazy how they would usually look the other way or ignore, but the second we were in masks, they seek to see if I was one of them.

Whereas we do communicate with our eyes more that you realise, on public transport, concerts, crowds, shops and many other situations indeed.

In a short, it’s my most fundamental way to communicate with someone before they even are aware that I’m hearing impaired. It’s part of the body where you ‘read/see’ the soul for who they really are and boy when those moments come that you can see right through them, becomes the hard part as it can’t hide once you have the ability to ‘see.’

Start taking notice how you communicate with others as you may surprise yourself and pick up way more than you ever imagined.
