SYMPTOMS OF DECLUTTERING
What are the symptoms of decluttering you might ask?
The art of decluttering is about ‘freeing you,’ of old stagnant energy.
Many have struggled with this task and while some can toss things as though they never cared in the first place. While others hold on to things since the day their first born child entered their lives…
In truth, it’s really the attachment to the item and in most cases ‘HOW’ much that cost!
Let’s say you are single living at home or sharing with others you may still have all those things from your teenage years, and you simply cannot part with.
I know as it took me a few years of ‘fits’ to get me where I am today. But now I can just look at something and know if it’s going to stay or be moved on!

Here’s the list of symptoms of decluttering:
· Nausea
· Headaches
· Jelly legs
· Fainting spells
· Crying uncontrollably
· Foggy mind
· Restlessness like you cannot stop what you are doing
· Eat mindlessly before or during the ‘fit’ as though it’s a form of fuel boost
· Mood swings as the items are being removed
· Feel sluggish and body goes soft like a slug
· Body shakes
Although you may experience different symptoms at different times, depending on what you area you are working on.
It’s all Okay.
From the kitchen to the bedroom, the emotions may vary. Perhaps the favourite saucepan because you bought it with your first pay check when you moved out of home. Or that coat you have had since your teenage years reminds you of being at home?
All these thoughts and feelings can pop up anytime during a decluttering frenzy and just keep going. Once you stop, you are not dealing with that old part of you that needs to go….
The best tip I say is “to declutter like a ferret in a hole until you reach that calm spot”…..as that is a sign you have ‘found’ what you are meant to remove at that point.
Remember a clutter space is a cluttered mind.
