SHOPPING WITH YOUR INTUITION
Sounds crazy when you say to your friends, ‘I prefer to shop in person than buy online?’
You are not alone.
Shopping with your intuition is where your psychic gift comes in the feeling sector. You know we often shop using our eyes. But how about how when you have to hold that item?
It never occurred to me until I sat opposite a tarot reader one day and she told me to find a meditation group. I said, ‘how will I know which is the best one?’
‘Just pick up the piece of paper with the details and hold it. You’ll know,’ she said. So, from that moment on, that’s what I did.
I’ve been known to walk around the store with a new bag slung over my shoulder and the shop staffs watch like I’m the next thief on their hands. To hugging bath towels in Harris Scarf until I get the right feeling.
The most important part of shopping with your intuition is to know your ‘YES’ from your ‘NO’ and that can vary from person to person.
My yes is tingling /goosebumps to feeling like I cannot not put the item down and my no feels like ants crawling under my skin when I pick up the item. (Only when I’m shopping) Sometimes it gets so overwhelming to hold the book, towel or anything if it’s a no. In rare cases I cannot pick it up. When I start to notice how my body feels, and it starts to behave ‘queerly,’ I put it back instantly and observe my behaviour, if the body goes calm. Then it’s a no!
Often our yes’s are like we spot money on the footpath with our eyes or we just have this inner knowing, we want it.
The other thing is shopping in person; we want things right now, not next week. That’s the best part about shopping with our intuition and feeling into what you need to buy.
Often I’ve been shown an image in my head at store to buy a gift for a friend and when I get to the shop, that idea goes away. That’s when I understood there is something else in that shop and so I wander around until I find it.
Back in December 2018, I decided to buy dad a Christmas present, a book. So after work one afternoon I entered the store and turned left and then my eyes darted to the words ‘Darrell Lea.’ Then I reached and picked up the book and a wave of tingling sensations move through my body and I knew instantly that this was the book for him.
The next day I returned to the store because it was the Black Friday sale and I picked up the book and same sensations in my body appeared again.
Although I knew I had to get it, it’s rare that I get tingling the next day, once I’ve received the message.
The best part was dad was pretty wrapt at getting the book as he grew up with Darrell Lea and it was my parents addiction that we as kids grew up with! YUM!
I understand many buy things on line but for the real sensitive people, shopping with our intuition is the best gift we could have.
