Hi.

PLASTIC SUCKS

PLASTIC SUCKS

“Phttttth,” Look at those damn floaties in the water. Plastic sucks yet there are worst things in the ocean, and I wouldn’t dare tell you about them. It never used to be this way, it only got worst over the years when more people travel further from home or took day trips in their flashy boats and toss the days rubbish overboard instead of taking it home.

While humans don’t really care about how I feel with all this extra junk weighing me down every minute, something needs to change…real soon. Before I do something about it. Not sure, but when it happens remember I told you so. So there.

Long ago humans were more thoughtful on what they bought and often it came loose like flour, sugar, salt and milk came in glass bottles.  How would the humans feel if I sent the rubbish to land every time, I do a king tide? Wouldn’t that be a story for the local papers, hee ha. Maybe. Just maybe.

It takes one person at a time to make a difference, you see whenever you visit me at the beach, just think how happy I would be and can see, feel and hear you when you are tucking into your fish and chips with all those pesky seagulls that think you owe them your lunch or dinner for free. Cheeky buggers. They prefer the hot chippees then the fresh fish because the fish are too smart. My tummy rolls at the sight that I have to stop myself before I send the humans a tsunami!

While some plastic is beneficial to a human’s life but to the careless ones as they haven’t had a minute to think about where it might end up! Every night the humans are sleeping I’m sending thoughts with every wave that hits the beach and wonder if someone is catching them at the other end. I know they are because the next day I see some strangers and a bag, gloves and a fancy long thing with crab claws on the end that seems to pick up the rubbish. Others grab it in the water with their bare hands and take it with them when they leave after a swim or stroll along the beach. Most get excited about picking up rubbish as most don’t fancy coming across those nasty needles that shouldn’t be anywhere the sandy beaches you know. My dream is for many humans and pets to visit me daily and have wonderful clean beaches and ocean with clear blue skies and long warm days…wouldn’t that be a treat.
