“It was DUNN, while being DUNN and after it was DUNN, it still was a DUNN.”

This was a verse my paternal Nana shared with me. Although she was related to a DUNN family, she indicated this was a story in the district about two people with the surname DUNN marring each other.

The country folks did have ways to make things stick and even if you don’t believe it, they often hold a key or clue to someone’s family history at some point.
